Yes, you can still attach your Apple Pencil and you can fold the magnetic clasp over it to keep it secure.
Yes, as long as the mouse can connect to the iPad, the keyboards Bluetooth will not interfere.
The backlight will turn off after 1 minute of inactivity.
No, the keyboard is slightly recessed to prevent key marks from showing on your screen.
It comes in either a standard US layout or a German layout. A standard US layout keyboard is typically used in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

This is basically a godsend considering the fact that I spent days researching the best possible keyboard for my new iPad Pro. it has more viewing angles and you can push the keyboard to the back so you can use it as a normal tab. On top of that you can also detach the iPad from the keyboard and change the orientation be it portrait or landscape. This is literally one of the best keyboards out there for the iPad and I am so happy to find a product that checks all of my boxes. I would literally be an ambassador for this product!!

The keyboard is easy to setup and connect through Bluetooth. It comes with a rear case for your iPad that then connects magnetically to the keyboard case. It seems to be very secure. One feature I find very useful is that the stand is infinitely adjustable using a friction hinge so you can place your iPad at any angle (see video). The keyboard is comfortable to use and does not feel cramped. The keys are backlit and you can choose from several colors. If you do a lot of typing on your iPad, I recommend this keyboard. Finally, it feels a little heavy to me, but this is my first keyboard so I really don’t know how it compares to others.

Purchased to add additional functionality to my IPAD AIR (2020). The qualityof the ESR Acend keyboard/case is excellent. It is very sturdy, and easily supports the IPAD in either the verticle or horizontal positions.
Keys light up in various colors making it very user friendly in all types of lighting situations. Keys have a very positive action on them assuring positive typing functionality.

This is my third case from ESR and I have yet to be disappointed in their products. I have an Ipad Air 4 and so does my wife, and lets just say she decided this case would be hers and I had to buy another one for myself haha. Heres what we love about this case!-Materials on this case are soft to the touch and nice all around. The nice case material is easy to clean and looks appealing. The trackpad and keyboard area also has a nice material that feels great when using this case.-The build quality for the price seems great! The price is cheaper than most of the competition, but still provides the solid build quality and attention to providing an overall enjoyable product to the customers.-The Magnets used are STRONG. This provides good peace of mind that your ipad will not fall off and break, which is definitely something no one wants! It also comes with a detachable hard cover which is a nice plus to use by itself sometimes.-The different positions you can use it in are handy. Sometimes Im writing a report or just looking at the internet, but either way I choose to orient this, it is always nice and secure and functioning perfectly.- The backlit keyboard is a nice plus, especially when I was not NEEDING it when searching for a case. It has come in handy on those late night work sessions though.-The track pad is nice and a good size for the product. Sometimes you get a case that the trackpad is just so small its unusable, but this track pad I feel does the job and does it well for what it is.Overall this case is great (so good I had to buy two of them haha). I would definitely recommend this case as well as other cases from ESR. I have been using some form of their cases for over a year now and have loved every single one and have yet to encounter any issues.I would recommend checking out their other cases as well though, I have bought one for every occasion. I enjoy the ESR Trifold Smart case for light traveling, but also enjoy a mixture of this case and the ESR Rebound magnetic case as well.

This is a brilliant product at a brilliant cost! The hinge mechanism works great. The keyboard is pretty good, and the touchpad is both better and less jittery than the other keyboard. It’s not very heavy and charges via USB C. Win win product.

It is light weight, has a case for the IPad, cover fro the stylist, and a keyboard for the IPad

If you are reading this review, you have found the hidden gem keyboard case! I have used this keyboard case for about 1 month now, and it has been an excellent experience. This case almost turns your iPad into a Chromebook with iPadOS while keeping the ability to be an iPad.Pros:The stand is very sturdy and provides viewing angles from 0-80 degrees with flat being 0.The keyboard doesn’t feel too cramped and can fold back 180 degrees under the stand to enable a "viewing" mode with the keyboard not in front of the screen.Detachable, sturdy case.Portrait mode stand!I own an apple pencil with my iPad and love the clasp, as it gives me the peace of mind that I won’t lose my pencil.Don’t like the clasp? Folding the clasp back onto the stand causes it to attach magnetically, keeping it out of the way!The magnets that connect the iPad case to the keyboard and stand are quite strong yet not too strong to prevent easy removal of the iPad case.A full row of top function keys.If the iPad isn’t charging, the cable that comes with the iPad can be connected to the iPad and keyboard to charge the keyboard.I only have 3 minor complaints:The fabric is black and a little hard to keep clean. The trackpad doesn’t work after connecting 50% of the time. (Can be fixed by turning Bluetooth off and on, then pressing the power key again. I was able to create a shortcut to turn off and on Bluetooth from my home screen or with a Siri command)When in "viewing mode" on a rough surface, like a lap, the power key and other keys are likely to be pressed accidentally by the weight of the iPad pushing down on the surface.I did a lot of research on which iPad keyboard to get, and I am very happy with my choice. This keyboard case is very similar to the Logitech combo touch case, but I ended up going with this one because of the price (1/2 as much) and the magnetic clasp. Keep in mind that the Logitech one does have the smart connector and this one doesn’t, but it only saves about 3 seconds of pairing time and minor inconveniences. When compared to ESR’s other magnetic keyboard, the Rebound, this keyboard comes with a magnetic case to provide protection and enable portrait mode. The trackpad is bigger, there is a row of function keys, a wider selection of viewing angles, and it’s about $35 cheaper! Granted, the floating does look quite cool, but you do have to sacrifice a lot. (Note: I have not tried either of these keyboard cases. These comparisons are just going off of the information provided by the manufacturers and reviewers)Either one of these cases is a great choice, but I am incredibly happy with the Ascend. Well done ESR!

I like this intelligent keyboard very much. It fits my bill and does precisely what it is supposed to be doing. I’ll update my review after using it for a couple of weeks.
